Oddinary Highway is retrofuturistic extra-oddinary shoot’em up with rogue-like elements about fighting robo-mafia while adopting to changing game mechanics.

Oddinary Highway was started as endless runner for iOS platform. Initial setting was based on idea of mixing together various pop culture elements and with glitches visual effects. After further refinement, we realized that chosen genre wasn't suitable well and extended core game mechanics to shoot'em up. Also, after showcasing prototype at DevGAMM Moscow 2016 we'd been inspired to try extend glitches to affect various aspects of game mechanics.
Gameplay
Core of the game is a linear progression through levels of different locations. Each level is based on randomly picked presets that are matching location, level and difficulty. At the end of each level there is boss.
The game starts with intro level to warm up in case, when game is just started. After intro level, main game cycle starts where player needs to proceed through many worlds to get to City – Final location of the game. Each world has several levels.
Game mechanics glitches are applied when player warps from one level to another and it's part of the game world as Weirdonium Leak.
